The price of the dollar in Egypt on Monday, November 30, 2020


The exchange rate of the dollar against the Egyptian pound recorded only two prices, a difference of two cents between the highest and lowest price of the greenback.

Since 2016, Egypt has successfully implemented an economic reform plan, in which it has been able to improve people's living conditions, control markets and control the currency market.

Economic reforms have contributed to the availability of foreign exchange supply, with economic indicators improving by the testimony of many international institutions.

The highest price of the dollar against the pound came at 15.61 pounds for purchase, and 15.71 pounds for sale, in banks: ADIB, Egypt Iran, Al Baraka, United Bank, suez canal,

- Lowest price to the dollar

The lowest price for the dollar came at 15.59 pounds to buy, and 15.69 pounds for sale, at Al Ahli Egyptian Banks, Egypt, and SAIB.

At the Central Bank of Egypt, the exchange rate of the dollar against the pound was 15.6072 pounds for purchase and 15.7072 pounds for sale.

The IMF said it reached an expert-level agreement with Egypt after completing the first review to facilitate a $5.2 billion credit readiness. 

The IMF statement, in mid-November, indicated that a $1.6 billion tranche would be disbursed once the IMF's Executive Board approves it.

"The Egyptian economy has performed better than expected despite the Corona pandemic," he said.  

Tarek Amer, governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, said in September that his country would receive the second and third rounds of the IMF loan in December 2020 and June 2021, respectively.
